Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh inspects Covid-19 prevention and control measures at LSP site

Long Son, Ba Ria Vung Tau, 12 July 2021 – The Delegation of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh inspected the prevention and control of COVID-19 at the Southern Petrochemical Complex Project before working with leaders of Ba Ria Vung Tau province on socio-economic development and COVID-19 prevention and control in province over the past time.

Reporting to the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Tharna Sanee, General Director of Long Son Petrochemicals  Co., Ltd. (LSP) said that the project has a total investment of 5.4 billion USD. It is the first fully integrated petrochemical complex in Vietnam with a capacity of olefins (base materials for the production of industrial chemicals, plastics, plastics and synthetic rubbers) up to 1 ,6 million tons/year.

Currently, there are about 11,000 employees working each day on construction site. LSP has strictly complied with the “5K” regulation of the Ministry of Health. LSP stipulates that the company’s employees in Ho Chi Minh City can work from home completely and switch to online meeting. Before entering the working area, LSP employees must make a daily medical declaration, log their journey and use of vehicles only in the province. LSP also develops an emergency response plan if a suspected case of COVID-19 occurs at the construction site.
